On Saturday, March 4th, 2017, the American Coaster Enthusiasts Northern California region held a backstage tour of California's Great America. The tour was a great opportunity for enthusiasts to get a look at behind the scenes areas of the park and get great pics.

Coastal Thrills members Jacob Harris, Matthew Silvas, and Marc Wiener were fourtunate enough to attend this event and get great pictures. Matthew and Marc were one of the few ACErs who recently joined ACE prior to the event.

The event started at 10:00 AM and ended at 12:30 PM. When the event started, everyone headed over to the Patriot sign to take a huge group picture.

After the picture was taken, everyone headed over to the Great America Theatre to have a little pastry and listen to Roger Ross and Clayton Lawrence give a presentation on what the 2017 California's Great America season has to offer.

During the presentation, there was a raffle for prides like an Invertigo wheel, CGA tickets for the 2017 season, a plush Snoopy and plush Charlie Brown. Matthew was lucky enough to win the tickets.

Nicholas then awarded The 2016 ACE NorCal Richard Tuck Spirit Award to ACEr Erik Chalhoub and Brian Christensen was named ACE NorCal's new Assistant Regional Representative.

Once the slideshow ended, the tour began! We immediately headed to The newly refurbished Maggie Brown's Famous Smokehouse and Fried Chichen to see the renovation progress. After that, we headed over to county fair to continue the tour.

Demon's yellow train was underneath some of the games in action zone! It was definitely cool seeing them.

When we headed over to Planet Snoopy, we noticed that Delta Flyer/Eagle's Flight, was repainted during the offseason to a shiny blue color like Patriot.

The tour ended at 12:30 PM. I was very happy to go on this tour and meet a lot of new people and hang out with friends. I will definitely go back next year!
